Protect Corn With Cruiser Extreme® 250

Cruiser Extreme® 250 seed treatment combines Cruiser® seed treatment insecticide with the most robust fungicide package on the market, offering corn growers the peace of mind they need to plant with confidence. Cruiser Extreme® 250 protects against a broad spectrum of early-season insects and diseases, which can reduce emergence, slow growth and cause damping off of the seedlings. Cruiser Extreme® 250 increases stand, vigor and, ultimately, yield potential.

Cruiser Extreme® 250 is a seed company–applied promotional combination of four active ingredients that deliver .25 mg a.i./seed of Cruiser® (thiamethoxam) plus three fungicides: Apron XL®, Maxim® XL and Dynasty®. Cruiser Extreme® 250 helps provide outstanding crop stand establishment and protects yield potential. Studies show that adding Dynasty® to the standard fungicide package increases corn plant stands, resulting in higher yields.

Cruiser®
Cruiser® seed treatment insecticide protects corn plants from a broad spectrum of early-season insect pests, including wireworm, seed corn maggot, white grub (including grape colaspis), corn flea beetle, black cutworm and chinch bug to help get crops off to a healthy, vigorous start. Cruiser® seed treatment:

  • Helps increase stand, uniformity and vigor, and protects yield potential.
  • Works in variable weather conditions.
  • Saves time at planting.
  • Includes an excellent crop, worker and environmental profile.

Maxim® XL
A pre-pack of Maxim® 4FS and Apron XL® seed treatment fungicides, Maxim® XL provides effective protection against several of the key plant pathogens affecting corn, including Fusarium and Pythium. Maxim® XL:

  • Has become the standard in early-season disease protection in corn.
  • Offers excellent seed safety.
  • Protects the genetic potential of seed at a low use rate.

Apron XL®
Apron XL® seed treatment fungicide provides protection against disease caused by soilborne Pythium. Apron XL® seed treatment fungicide offers:

  • A low use rate,
  • Registration by the EPA under its “Reduced Risk” program,
  • Enhanced protection and residual control of Pythium when Apron XL® is added to Maxim® XL.

Dynasty®
Dynasty® seed treatment is a broad-spectrum systemic fungicide that provides improved disease protection against all four classes of fungal pathogens. Dynasty® seed treatment:

  • Enhances the performance and consistency of Maxim® XL and Apron XL®.
  • Includes an innovative active ingredient with a unique mode of action.
  • Provides systemic protection for emerging seedlings.
  • Offers excellent seed safety.

Performance Results
Due to its superior performance, Maxim® XL seed treatment fungi-cide has set the standard for early-season disease protection in corn. Adding Dynasty® offers unique systemic activity against a number of seedborne diseases, complementing the contact and systemic activity provided by Maxim® XL and broadening the range of disease protection to include more seedborne and soil seedling diseases. Cruiser Extreme® 250 also includes additional Apron XL® (1.0 g a.i./100 kg of seed) to enhance the protection against Pythium and provide added residual activity.

The Thiamethoxam Vigor™ Effect
When using thiamethoxam as a seed treatment, growers and researchers notice healthier, more vigorous plants and higher yields, even in situations where there is no visible insect attack. More than 10 years of research by Syngenta and third-party representatives has shown that thiamethoxam improves the plant’s ability to cope under stressful growing conditions, giving it a better opportunity to reach its full genetic yield potential.
